This is honestly the most beautiful piece of art I have ever seen on this site and I have lurked for years on here lol. The tone of the entire piece, the lighting effects from the cigarette about to be lighted, the way vi is slumped over without her gauntlets and instead has her hands wrapped, the blood on hands and other parts of her, the broken glass on her goggles and the way her left hand is lying limp at her side showing how this is her final minutes and the other hand expending her last energy to touch her friend in goodbye and in love as either a lover or simply as very close friends(whichever was intended in the shot, but for me I will choose to interpret it as the former), the clear distinction between the rain droplets and finally the single tear running down the right side of Caitlyn's face. A truly beautiful piece. I loved it so much that I just bought a scroll poster print of it on ebay shipping all the way from hong kong to me in california lol. Needless to say, good job, I love your works.
I always loved Vi and the Lore shared with Cait. Even read a few FF´s back then,but then i fell out of interest for LoL.
I found this picture today on the web and since then,i´m sitting here reading my way through various storys containing the partnership of those two.
This picture really made me cry. It catches the moment of an unavoidable loss and even though those are fictional characters in an even more fictional story written by fans,it hurts. It hurts like hell.
I have to say that when I first discovered I really liked Vi, this was the pic that made me ship Vi/Caitlyn so hard ;A; there's so much emotion in the picture, so much tenderness, so much vulnerability that immediately stands out (because let's face it, Vi isn't the kind of person who would show her weakness no matter what), yet she's still proud, and she obviously shares a deep bond with Caitlyn as she lights her cigarette instead of tending to her wounds first.There's so much here that conveys emotion, from their gazes to their hands and Cait's protective body language... ;A; yet they're both still in character and I love that. This is a phenomenal piece.
Sorry for the commentary but just wow, it's so good, I think I teared up a little the first time I saw it ;A;
To anyone coming here from Facebook: Definitely have to say you should be following suqling for good art. Also have to say that Everybody Steals is one incredible fan-fiction. Chapter one and two will make feel feelings, even if you never knew you had them before.
